If we fail to collect funds due the first time by direct debit, we will attempt a second time a few days later. We will always reach out first to let you know we’ve been unable to collect and we’re trying again.
If the payments fail again, your account will go into our Collections and Recoveries process and a £35 admin fee will be applied after 7 days.
We’ll apply a further fee of 25% of the total owed after one month and your account will be handed over to our debt recovery agent. If our debt collectors are unsuccessful at recovering funds, or agreeing a plan, we will register a default and possibly even a county court judgement. This will impact your ability to obtain credit for six years.
Please remember, your Card is not a credit provider; therefore, we expect customers to pay for transactions made on their United Airlines Debit Card.
